Yeah, hatred of America and a bloody Marxist disease that infiltrated the country. Or maybe you were under the impression that Oswald was a racist, not a Communist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Har...e_Soviet_Union

A black president will help America simply by being black.

For one reason, it will bring African Americans into the political process. It already has in fact. This is a huge part of our country that has been largely disillusioned with the democratic process for many years. The damage done from years of poll taxes and other voting restrictions will be reversed.

No doubt this will be good for America because it will skew party politics, it will finally become important for the Republicans to listen to black people (which gives the democrats a reason to listen as well). Also it will mess with political machines in poor Urban neighborhoods that primarily prevail because of voter apathy.

Also, simply having a black person as president will improve our relations abroad. The masses of poor that see our country as a racist imperialist power will finally have a different face to look at. It's already becoming apparent that the whole world is crazy about Obama, even our harshest enemies love him. We will have won their hearts and minds without even dropping a bomb.

I'm not talking about the leadership of Hamas or Iran, I'm talking about the average people. Obama is becoming a world icon and it's not because Iran is helping him, it's because he has charisma that white people can never have in these countries.

Most importantly though, Obama will make the country less racist in years to come. Children who normally would not normally be exposed to diversity (and yes there are many) would see a black man as president. A black man who they can look up to.

And maybe if were lucky he will identify with the plight of other black men and invest in our poorest urban communities. We can't succeed economically if our poorest cannot.

This is a time for a black man to lead the world, not another old white man.

Umm...NO...I won't for him and not because he's HALF black and HALF white, but because he's a FULL SOCIALIST!

No, but because Obama is more qualified, and sane to run this government than McCain. Just because a person may have years of faulty experience does not make him more qualified, it makes him another George W. Bush. Like Obama said the McCain healthcare plan is worse than Bush's plan.

More qualified. More sane. Those sound like legitimate reasons to vote for someone. "Simply because he is black" is not.

And if McCain's health care plan is worse than Bush's, how can you call him another George W. Bush? Sounds like a difference to me.

LoL, just a misunderstanding - my post wasn't showing up earlier and it said it had to pass through the mods and I don't know how my second test run got hooked with that quote.

More qualified how? More sane how?

He hangs with racists, terrorists, and can't even pick decent people to vet his Veep.
