Hillary has finally decided to drop out the race according to her campaign. She has declared that she will be dropping out and backing Obama in order to unite the party and stop the Republicans from grasping the White House. I am so proud of Hillary, but I wish she would have done what is in the best interest of the party soon. She did a bit of damage, but the important thing is that she is not taking it to the national convention or court and she is not farther damaging the democratic party.

Nice.
She's just going to flip a switch in her mind, and now all of a sudden she's his buddy? Yeah right. Nothing more than political posturing.

I think the damage is already done:
Obama's already wasted waaaaay more money in ads then mccain. Now McCains got the edge there. A lot of clinton supporters are now either voting mccain () or are just not voting. I realize the whole 'victim role' that she's been doing was just to get votes, but now people are taking it to heart and giving their votes to mccain just in spite. Lesson: "Staying the course" never turns out the way you expect. |

The election has not been held yet, so I don't see why she says Obama can't win.

Liberal Writer Christopher Hitchen on Obama:
http://mediamatters.org/items/200803050006 SCARBOROUGH: Are you calling — are you calling Obama a shallow and flaky candidate? Do you — HITCHENS: I’ve repeatedly called him a shallow and flaky candidate, and — though I thought he was an incredibly successful shallow and flaky candidate. I would add other things that are going to now get a second look that they’ve long deserved: this dumb, nasty, ethnic, rock ‘n’ roll, racist church that he goes to in Chicago, that’s going to — he won’t be able to walk away from that anymore. The crummy associates he’s got in Illinois, going on trial for corruption with their Iraqi friends. None of this is going to get the free ride from the press that it was getting until about this time yesterday morning. SCARBOROUGH: Wow. |
