I don't see him losing his cool. I see him stating the obvious. Everyone knows they talked. Yay. How is this news? These are not issues worth discussing, but distractions away from issues worth discussing. So McCain was willing to entertain the possibility of working with a dem... This is bad how? We could use more people that can look beyond partisan differences and talk. That's one of the things I like the most about Obama. He is willing to talk to our enemies. Nothing bad can come of that. He is not promising to do anything other than talk. OK sorry, that off-topic tangent could derail your thread...

These videos of McCain don't offer things worthy of criticism. He misspoke; he knows who Putin is. He points out the obvious, repeatedly. Why put this junk on youtube?

He was at a regional conference in Germany just prior as he said and simply mispoke.




The second one flopped when they first tried it so whatever. Mainly because most people agreed with him that the reporter was being annoying. Ended up actually being that most people found fault with the actions of the reporter and assumed she was trying to get a rise out of him on purpose.


I've noticed the anti-McCain far left types are relying heavily on very innoccuous garbage. Two other favorites being their distorting of the 100 Years in Iraq(that flopped though when it started hurting those using it becasue common sense hit them hard) and the Sunni/Shiite 2 seconds...which has also mostly flopped.


A new one going around is aimed at his teeth...thats the level of desperation they are reaching.

Major problem they have is McCains a big boy and will defend himself unlike Obama he doesn't run off to make excuses. Also people tend to look at what he actually said and/or give him the benefit of the doubt ..thus this stuff flops with him.

Dmeocrats and the Far Left especially simply do not know how to run against McCain their falling back on snotty routines and distortions. That won't work. People respect Mccain too much for that.

i think that his memory may be going at his age.

I agree, it is a simple mistake. I don't care when politicians do this. It is similar to when obama said 57 states. When you are out on the campaign trail talking every day, you are bound to make a few simple errors. I feel quite confident that mccain knows who putin is, and that Obama knows we have 50 states.

I promise you that I dont think metro is not a partisan hack, but I agree that people would make a bigger deal if obama did this. But that is the point, is it right. I think it is intellectually dishonest to try and make these simple mistakes, into something bigger than they are, which is that they misspoke. Would you think it was a big deal if obama had done this? If not then you should be consistent and dismiss it for what it is, a non-issue.
