Default Kerry economic plan doesn't add up

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Aug24.html

Quote:
A Washington Post review of Kerry's tax cuts and spending plans, in addition to interviews with campaign staff members and analyses by conservative and liberal experts, suggests that they could worsen the federal budget deficit by nearly as much as President Bush's agenda. If projected savings from unspecified cuts do not materialize, Kerry's pledges could outstrip those of the president, whom the Democrat has repeatedly accused of unprecedented fiscal recklessness.
I wish the press would start asking Kerry the tough questions. How would he pay for all the new benefits he is promising?

Bush does not have an economic plan. Stay the course, Borrow and spend, let our children pay.

I wish the press would start asking Bush the tough questions. 4 year in the office and record number of american in poverty and without insurance, job losses, record budget/trade deficits and still no economic plan whatsoever.

There is a good reason that according to every poll Americans trust Kerry on economy by a ratio of 2-to-1

Kerry wants to restore "pay-go" provision of the budget (recommended by Greenspan). His economic plan is his objective but if he does not have sufficient resources to implement everything within the budget he'll have to prioritize. Bush has proven to be unable to do that.

Besides there are a lot of savings to be had not only in tax cut rollbacks but also in other areas like healthcare. There's got to be a reason why healthcare costs more in this country both as % of GDP and per capiata than anywhere else but americans are getting less. (and no, lawsuits are not the reason).
I doubt Bush will crack down on his corporate buddies, I hope Kerry will.
