Here is Barack Obama back in 2004 before he had served even one day in the US Senate:

"I am a believer in knowing what you're doing when you apply for a job.

And, I think that if I were to seriously consider running on a national ticket I would essentially have to start now before having served a day in the Senate. Now, there are some people who may be comfortable doing that, but I'm not one of those people."

But, 2 years later...he's more than qualified.

2004 was 4 years ago. Not 2.

He announced in 2007. That was 3 years after 2004. Not 2.

Most people want to be the President of the United States at that level...He doesn't. I wonder what made the 360.

Nope, that's what you said. Two years after 2004 is not 2008. But, addressing the subject, a lot changes in 4 years. America wasn't as desperate for a good candidate.

Talk about getting off topic...you cannot even get the math right.

Second, even 2 years ago McCain was not the McCain he is today, and look back even farther to 8 years and you see a candidate who I might actually vote for. Alot changes over time, a day in American politics can change the world.

Don't take one comment he said 4 years ago as the bible for today...I mean honestly...Look at VP candidates...they always say they don't want it...until they accept it.

One comment does not seal his determination as a "bad candidate" since you have nothing to back that statement up but your own ignorant opinion.

IMO,
obama knew in '04 he'd be running in '08.
whoever approached him to run for senate,
probably didnt stop their pitch with the senate.
he's been rushed through the political ranks,
for reasons which this thread is not about,
and i think he knew exactly where he was being rushed to from day one.

and did barrack obama revolutionize the office of senator,
and i missed it?
to speak as if he's proven himself ready with his senate tenure is maybe a stretch.
