In this article about Conservatives who are supporting Obama for President, a very interesting tidbit has been slyly released. Insiders in the Obama campaign have let the cat out of the bag that Republican Chuck Hagel is on his short list for running mate.

About the article itself, I do have some serious issues with those Conservatives (Obamacons) who are flocking to the Obama bandwagon. Sure, McCain does not represent Conservative America. That is a given. But to show your displeasure with one Liberal by supporting another Liberal just does not make any sense at all to me. All it means is that you are replacing one Liberal, John McCain, with another Liberal, Barack Obama, when you go vote. THAT, my friends, is not an honest choice. If Conservatives want to show their displeasure with McCain, there is a much better way to do it. Vote for Bob Barr, NOT Barack Obama. At least you will be staying true to your principles.

Sorry, but I cannot even hold my nose and vote for Obama to show my displeasure with today's Republican Party. For me, Bob Barr (or a write in vote for Ron Paul) is the only way to go. I absolutely refuse to compromise my principles, and what I truly believe in.
