Very interesting article I found about McCain and a man that was prison guard in what American POW's called the 'Hanoi Hilton'. The man says he would vote for John McCain if he was American but he also denies that John McCain was tortured essentially putting forth that McCain is lieing to the American people. However we must take this with a grain of salt considering Vietnam is Communist country with a tightly controlled media and active propaganda machine.

Well, yes I do believe that McCain was tortured in Vietnam I was commenting on how the Vietnamese have a brutal propaganda machine that denies such things happen when in all fairness they did.

This is quite funny how a conservative thinks instantly that I am ridiculing and denying torture concerning McCain.

Well yes I found it interesting that a person who tortured a presidential nominee would elect him. I find it interesting what other countries think of the US b/c it happens to be quite insightful into the general nature of the country and reveals ultimately ways we as Americans can exploit.

who cares if mccain was tortured? how does that qualify him for anything but a masochist in some disturbing sex parlor? its a non issue. but i wouldnt be surprised if he did lie about his experience. hes pretty much lied about everything else.

I've been watching the PBS series "China from the inside", it's amazing how much propaganda still plays a part in their country. There are still very much a communist country, but the "directoriate" right now is "national prosperity", although extremely few are actually prosperous.

They are the very definition of capitalism gone awry, virtually every city and waterway is polluted with no end in site. I really don't know how much longer they can afford to buy a billion dollars of our debt everyday.
