I'm glad you agree. He'll side with McCain, and with his country.

so, you are saying Colin Powell will endorse mKKKain instead of Obama?
if so, what's your proposed wager?

Yes.

I'll wager my country's future that Powell will do what is best, and not betray his country for Obama.

If Powell endorses Obama will he then lose the left wing tag of "Uncle Tom"?

Well, the article also stated that Powell has never been comfortable in being cast as a conservative.

if powell endorses obama: obama and powell and every other black supporting him are racists.

Well, if we buy that logic, then every white person who supportes McCain must be racists. ...........The only people not racist are white people who like Obama and black people who like McCain.

Hispanic and asian people are only racist if they vote for Ralph Nader.

It's the fact that many misuse the term "racist" that a lot of Americans have become desensitized to the term.

OMG he's "racist".. she's "racist".. blah blah.. you aren't even using the term in it's correct context and you presume to call someone a "racist".

Give me a break. Also people tend to vote with people they can identify with. Powell might not have very similar stances to Obama, but he might appreciate Obama in other instances -- such as having to climb up the political ladder as a minority.

It is also why a lot of people voted for Bush. He was seen as "a man you can sit down and have a beer with". Do you fault the people who voted for him because they could relate to him more despite the fact that they might have disagreed with him in many aspects concerning policy?

Do you have a similar sentiment towards Catholics who overwhelmingly voted for JFK?

I don't know if Powell will vote for Obama or not, but I believe the man has earned enough of MY respect that I will wait for his decision and his reasoning for his decision before I jump to conclusions.

If you have any respect for the man, I suggest you do the same.

exactly that is the point. with an obama presidency, there will be the biggest riots ever known to mankind. i really believe that some states might even consider receding.

if obama becomes president, this country falls. the iron curtain falls for us. we might as well all bend over if he becomes president.

no one in this world is going to take him seriously. everyone is laughing at us.

I've always thought Powell was similiar to Ike in that he only stayed in the Repub party to try and control the real crazies.
