I agree, it was really a great speech, not boring like the SOTU address. Did anybody see the protesters get dragged out of there? MSNBC showed the lady basically getting dragged out with her arm twisted behind her back...how do they even get in there? Well, at least they tried, haha.

..I think its the best speech I have seen him give. Very poignant and serious. (It will not sway me, though). But I will give him kudos for it because its usually not his setting. But he did very well tonite.

I love Bush's domestic agenda for the next four year. It did not change since 2000. Nothing he promised four years ago was done, not a single thing was accomplished which allows him to be consistent, stay the course and promise the same agenda all over again.

What would you call, TAX CUTS What would you call no child left behind, which the feds provided more money to schools than any president in history. The tests scores are up. 3. Our social security is on the road of death, without privatization the young can be absolutely sure there will be nothing for them when they reach retirement. Accomplishing what he has and still dealing with a war on terrorism, GWB is doing a superb job. |

Heard it all before....A re-cycled stump speech with some added "emotion" plus a whole bunch of SOTU thrown in for good measure, coupled with yet more Iraq-9/11 innuendo, read in his usual style of painful syntax it was mediocre at best... If that is how he "energizes" his base he's in deep trouble with the 'undecideds'... Loved his bit about the allies though...do you think george knows that the entire Danish military is comprised of a couple of submarines and a couple of hundred troops? (some of whom are have been embroiled in their very own prisoner abuse scandal) Bet that was useful in Najaaf.... Yup, then there's the 380 El Salvadorans...Australia's 850...I could go on but the numbers are here... http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita..._coalition.htm Very average overall...and not the LEAST bit inspirational...Hells' bells I hated Raygun like the rest of the real Democrats but at least he could deliver a speech with authenticity.... I will give you guys one thing though..your boy is still the master at the smirk and the Faux-Texan tough-guy talk...even if he is from Connecticut.. Too bad the gop establishment decided to crap all over McCain..he would have won in a landslide in '00, and the Dems would have been on their back-heels trying to find someone to go up against him this fall... As Bill Clinton once said, "you fall in love with the candidate, you marry the nominee"...I have a sneaking hunch that the republicans are headed for divorce court in November!! Enjoy your moment guys because the campaign just got started...and the debates are coming up fast....and there'll be no tele-prompters... Cheers!

Other than tax cuts, I disagree. Children were left behind. Don't take my word for it, ask children and their parents. And Bush's extremist fiscal policies bankrupted our social security.

Loved the way you showed such disrespect to our allies, truebrit.
And Kenlay, haven't we done that before? I'm middle class. I got a tax cut. If you got a tax cut, you need to get off this argument.
