He has backed way off on troop withdrawals, he has backed off on Patriot Act issues, He has backed way off on campaign reform, he has adopted Bush's Faith Based Iniatives position, the list goes on and on !

The Dems have basically concended terrorism, the death penalty, 2nd Amendment and other issues to the GOP, us Republicans haven't conceded a (*)(*)(*)(*) thing.

I think the Congress low apporval ratings will even out the election but it won't hurt Obama a lot.

The left wing spin crowd cracks me up. In that case Bush's approval rating isn't about Bush specifically, but the Presidency in general. Intellectul honesty once again escapes the far left's grasp.

It would be evidence that congress was aggressively pushing policy people agreed with... to an insane level (even when people like congress overall, it's nowhere near that much).
Then we'd have to look at what was passed. If they were Democratic policies, then yes.

Currently people either hate congress because they are Republicans or because the Democrats are not living up to their promises.
Those in the latter category are the ones who matter in this case (as Republicans will always hate a Democratic congress). Why would failure of Democrats to live up to their promises make people want the party that plans to actively oppose those promises?
