Default Obama "reformes" His Webpage On Iraq.

http://www.gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/

OBAMA SCRUBS "CIVIL WAR" FROM IRAQ WEBPAGE!!

Now Obama is scrubbing his Iraq webpage!
The New York Daily News reported: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/poli...itique_of.html

Quote:
Barack Obama's campaign scrubbed his presidential Web site over the weekend to remove criticism of the U.S. troop "surge" in Iraq, the Daily News has learned.

The presumed Democratic nominee replaced his Iraq issue Web page, which had described the surge as a "problem" that had barely reduced violence.

"The surge is not working," Obama's old plan stated, citing a lack of Iraqi political cooperation but crediting Sunni sheiks - not U.S. military muscle - for quelling violence in Anbar Province.

The News reported Sunday that insurgent attacks have fallen to the fewest since March 2004.

Obama's campaign posted a new Iraq plan Sunday night, which cites an "improved security situation" paid for with the blood of U.S. troops since the surge began in February 2007.

It praises G.I.s' "hard work, improved counterinsurgency tactics and enormous sacrifice."

Campaign aide Wendy Morigi said Obama is "not softening his criticism of the surge. We regularly update the Web site to reflect changes in current events."
Here is Obama's website before the scrubbing this weekend: http://bp0.blogger.com/_L6pDyjqqsvY/...bpage+pre+7-15

This previous page said: "The goal of the surge was to create space for Iraq's political leaders to reach an agreement to end Iraq's civil war."

And, here is Obama's current webpage on Iraq and the surge: http://bp1.blogger.com/_L6pDyjqqsvY/...bpage+7-15.JPG

And, now... Voila!-- *poof* --No more civil war! http://www.barackobama.com/issues/iraq/

That's Barack Obama's special way of congratulating the troops for the phenomenal progress in Iraq. How weak.

Of course, his current webpage is still wrong and outdated. Iraq has achieved 15 of 18 benchmarks http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/20...-15-of-18.html and violent attacks are down by 90% over last year. http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/20...q-down-90.html

.................................................. ................................................

Oops!... Obama Forgets To Scrub His 'Surge Is Failing' Document

Oops... Obama forgot to scrub one of his ridiculous and dated anti-surge documents down the internet memory hole.

Earlier today the New York Daily News reported http://www.nydailynews.com/news/poli...itique_of.html that Barack Obama is purging his website to remove criticism of the U.S. troop "surge" in Iraq.

It looks like the scrubbers forgot to make a few documents disappear.
Obama still has this Iraq is a "civil war" document posted...
Barack Obama: Turning the Page on Iraq: http://www.barackobama.com/issues/pdf/IraqFactSheet.pdf

http://www.barackobama.com/issues/pdf/IraqFactSheet.pdf

Barack Obama on the War in Iraq:

Quote:
"My plan for ending the war would turn the page in Iraq by removing our combat troops from Iraq’s civil war; by taking a new approach to press for a new accord on reconciliation within Iraq; by talking to all of Iraq’s neighbors to press for a compact in the region; and by confronting the human costs of this war."
[Speech in Clinton County, IA, 09/12/07]
And, here Obama headlines a section titled, "The Surge is Not Working":

Quote:
THE SURGE IS NOT WORKING
"The stated purpose of the surge was to enable Iraq's political leaders to reconcile. They have not done so... Our troops fight and die in the 120 degree heat to give Iraq's leaders space to agree, but they are not filling it... The bar for success is so low that it is almost buried in the sand."
Quote:
Iraqi Government Not Stepping Up: The goal of the troop surge was to create space for Iraq’s political leaders to reach agreement to end Iraq’s civil war. In January 2007, President Bush said the goal of the surge was to contain violence so that "Iraqis will gain confidence in their leaders, and the government will have the breathing space it needs to make progress in other critical areas." Since then, more than 700 American troops have died, but the Iraqi government has not stepped up. In early September, the United States Government Accountability Office found the Iraqi government has not enacted legislation to meet critical benchmarks on de-Ba'athification, oil revenue sharing, provincial elections, amnesty, and militia disarmament that are key to beginning national reconciliation.
Obama needs to get with it!
His drab reviews of Iraq are soooo dated.
Iraq has achieved 15 of 18 benchmarks http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/20...-15-of-18.html and violent attacks are down by 90% over last year. http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/20...q-down-90.html The Iraqi government has passed more important pieces of legislation than the Democratic Congress this past year.
Barack really needs to get with it.

Already a thread on this.

McCain seems to have purged references to Troy King, hypocrite gay-bashing, self-loathing closeted homosexual, from his web site.

Quote:
Over at the Pensito Review, Jon Ponder captured the Alabama Leadership Team page over at JohnMcCain.com, where references to gay rumor-beleaguered state Attorney General Troy King has been scrubbed from the site.
Republican Sexual Hypocrisy looks to be another fruitful area for interesting reporting in 2008, so I guess McSame wants to take the proactive path and "convict" the highly anti-gay King, who is rumored to have been booted by his wife for engaging in homo-sex with a male staffer. There has been no confirmed admission by King; the Attorney General's office denied the rumors of the affair and said King had no plans to resign. Left in Alabama:

Let this be a lesson to all future liberal candidates. When you flip and flop, remember to purge, er, I mean "update" your website.

I love it when liberals try to counter a wrong done by a liberal with "what they consider" a wrong by a republican. Why cant they just stay on subject? As if pointing out the wrongs "or what they consider wrongs" of someone else would make the wrong of their candidate magically disappear or turn the wrong in to a right! This is funny. It shows that they have no arguement. It shows that no matter how unqualified there candidate is, they will stick by him till the bitter end! These are your ignorant and uneducated voters. Another wrong "or what you consider a wrong" doesent make your candidates definate wrong a right!

McCain can update his web site just as Obama can. It's not like he suddently started worshipping the surge as you have.

Have you even read the updated content on the surge?
