Default Kerry takes yet another position

Geez. I'm beginning to think there is something seriously wrong with this man. Just a couple weeks ago, he said he'd bring the troops home from Iraq in 6 months. Now....he's saying "he'll try to bring them home in four years." Yep. Those anti-war supporters are gonna love him!!!

Kerry Slams 'Wrong War in the Wrong Place'

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrat John Kerry accused President Bush on Monday of sending U.S. troops to the "wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time" and said he'd try to bring them all home in four years. Bush rebuked him for taking "yet another new position" on the war.

Excellent, the gloves are off and this is just a beginning!!! You've been warned. You're going to call Kerry a flip-flopper no matter what he says or does so he might as well come out swinging and start saying the truth about Bush, his disastrous record and his corrupt, incompetent administration. "W stands for WRONG"

Default When did he ever say he'd bring the troops home?

I don't recall ever hearing about John Kerry saying that. JP5, either you're not getting it or you're ignoring the fact that his position on Iraq has always been consistent. (probably my second suggestion, you're not stupid)

Before the war, Kerry granted Bush the authority to go to war should the need arise. He gave the president that authority so the president could give Saddam the message "we will invade, should you not cooperate."

But Saddam did cooperate, he let in weapons inspectors to every nook and cranny of his country. But NO! We had to go to war. Bush had to exercise his authority before it was appropriate to do so.

Bush gave Saddam 5 days to disarm, all the while Saddam was pleading, "I don't have WMDs!" Guess what? He didn't. And we invaded his country on false premises because President Bush misused his authority to go to war.

John Kerry's opinion on the matter has been surprisingly consistent. He has said that he disagreed with the presidents use of his authority to invade. We did not invade because we had to. We invaded because we were frustrated with finding out that Saddam was actually telling the truth about his WMDs. We were sure he had them. But we were wrong.

John Kerry did not say that he would have invaded Iraq even if he knew there were no WMDs. He said that he would have handled his authority better. He would have used war as a last resort rather than as a tool to act on a crazy vendetta against one man. (Saddam Hussein)

Default Oh four years? I thought you qouted him as four months.

Four years makes plenty of sense. His plan has always been to phase out U.S. soldiers over the next couple years and bring in U.N. peacekeepers. That's consistent with what he's saying all along. No objections, but what I said before is true.

Default Yes, corrupt is exactly the term I'd use.

In example, although I guess that's the point Kenlay's is making with his forum name, (I thought I'd repeat this little detail even though it's been said before) is that Bush happened to have been best buddies with the real Ken Lay. Coincidence? Nah, not when he's also best friends with the corrupt execs over at Halliburton.

Kerry said just about 1 month ago that his plans were to start bringing home the bulk of the troops with his first 6 months in office. Don't you remember? He got roundly criticized for giving a date certain to the enemy who would know they only had to hold out for 6 months and 1 day. NOW.....he's saying he'd "try" to get them home in 4 years.

Six months......four years.......yeah, I guess I can see how a Kerry defender would say that's consistent.

Default AGAIN!

John Kerry made a 1-1/2 hour phone call to Bill Clinton before Clinton's operation. Bill Clinton told Kerry that he needs to get off of Viet Nam & start talking about issues that concern Americans. So the Kerry campaign immediately installed new advisors. This with only two months before the election.

THE PROBLEM IS, JOHN KERRY IS NOT CONSISTENT ON ANY ISSUE!

You can't vote for approval to go to war, while we're on the doorstep of war, & then say that you didn't intend to go to war. You can't vote against supporting American troops while they're in battle, & just briefly explain that away, as "you were confused". While two weeks prior, making a statement that it would irresponsible for anyone to vote against supporting our troops & the appropriation bill. You can't say just last month in Arizona, that you would have voted for the authority to go into Iraq, knowing that there was no WMD in Iraq. Then flip-flop again, & state that you would have done "everything" differently from President Bush. Meaning no war.

John Kerry is in a panic mode. The RNC is loaded with money that is going to show John Kerry making all of the above recent statements. I expect that will be coming sometime this month. And this is going to make Kerry look just like what he is. A continual flip-flopper.

John Kerry must feel that the majority of Americans are ignorantl & do not actually listen to him on a daily basis. But the advertisements will be out in full force for those who don't listen.

As Rudy Julliano, previous mayor of New York, said at the RNC convention. There are two months to go & John Kerry has at least 4 to 5 more chances to flip-flop on critical issues.

LOL. It's Rudy Giuliani, silly. I am glad you did not attempt to spell Ahnold Schwartzneger.

Regarding the rest of your post - no doubt you are going to be whining about flip-flopping all the way through the election day. Who cares, as you said the majority of americans ARE NOT ignorant, they do understand that Kerry is absolutely right - "wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time"

Gore changed his advisors sevear times too and went on to win the popular vote. And yeah, Kerry takes advice from Bill Clinton, Bush takes advice from Karl Rove, me (Ken Lay ) and god. Hmm...Who's got better advisors?

Default .

God is capitalized.

Do you really think Clinton is a better adviser than God? You are that far gone? Do you have no respect for someone who asks for guidance from a Supreme Being? Do you think Clinton is a supreme being?

I have tremendous respect for religious people who speak to God. I am very concerned with political leaders who claim that God speaks to them.
