Don't you mean, "cry like a baby, stamp their feet and prevent *anything* from getting done if it doesn't include their pet provisions"?

It's a legitimate tactic, of course, but it's hardly something to cheer about. If energy is such a crisis, maybe they should try to pass some immediate help instead of holding up the whole works while they play "take my ball and go home."

On the other hand, I'm pretty much okay with the current situation. So gridlock works for me.

It all backfired on the democrats. They tried to tank the economy so that they could blame Bush and crew to help Obama get elected. But the oil speculators went wild and now the democrats in congress are getting the blame, and are going to take a big fall in Nov.

It was ok when the Democrats did it. They should veto bills that don't contain a bit of reality.
