I heard that in 2000 just before a critical state in the (R) primaries, Rove initiated push polling in order to spread vicious rumors about McCain. Polls were asking if you would be more or less likely to vote for McCain if you found out that: he had fathered an illegitimate black child/ if Cindy McCain were a drug addict/ and that he were a homosexual and consorted with prostitutes.

Is there any validity to these polls being executed. Of course the charges are ludicrous!

If all this did happen, and was perpetrated by team Bush, how does McCain suck that kind of thing up and run on the (R) ticket again?
