Well, they did it in Florida in 2000, didn't they?

If you are talking about cops pulling over people on the way to the polls in democratic areas where the local government is democratic they need to talk to their own folks about that.

If you are talking about people to (*)(*)(*)(*) stupid to figure a ballot out - then they don't need to be voting in the first place - or even driving for that matter.

There was never any suppression of voting.

I was actually referring to the so-called scrub lists. Whether the "problems" with the ballots and scrub lists and recounts, etc. were voter fraud or simply incompetence by a state government is anyone's guess, but the stench of impropriety was strong and I have often wondered if Bush's brother wasn't governor and if Scalia wasn't such a close friend to Cheney, would Gore have won Florida? I don't know and indeed no one does. What I do know is that a LOT of people were wrongfully denied their vote and that isn't, shall we say, the American way.

According to the Reverend Jessie Jackson

African Americans were blocked by police from getting to the polls, in Florida in 2000. And also UNREGISTERED African Americans who attempted to vote, were not allowed to do so. THIS SPELLS DISENFRANCHISEMENT.

And once more, according to the Reverend Jessie Jackson. African Americans couldn't figure out the right hole to punch, & when they did, they couldn't punch through it all the way. ANOTHER CASE OF DISENFRANCHISEMENT.

This all out of the mouth, of one of the top leaders in the African American community.

AREN'T YOU AFRICAN AMERICANS TIRED, OF HAVING YOUR INTELLIGENCE INSULTED BY THE REVEREND JESSIE JACKSON & OTHER DEMOCRATS THAT AGREE WITH HIM?

If you're tired of getting INSULTED by the donky's, then maybe you should vote for the elephant.

Here we go again. Let's get all the old arguments out and rehash them before November so we can all be completely bored.

Jesse Jackson is a clown, but that doesn't change the facts. His ridiculous charges do not change the facts that thousands or even tens of thousands were wrongfully disenfranchised because of scrub lists so inaccurate that they themselves should have been scrubbed.

I do find it interesting that since there are no defenses to these charges that you have tried to diminish the importance of the "problems" by dragging a clown like Jesse Jackson into the conversation. Did I say anything about UNREGISTERED voters or PHYSICAL OBSTRUCTIONS? The answer is NO. What I am talking about is that the appearance of impropriety was running rampant in Florida in 2000. Does that mean that those in charge did anything unethical or illegal? I don't know. But I will always wonder if those in power had been democrats rather than republicans, would the outcome have been different? It is interesting to think about.

Default .

Weren't the problems in 2000 in counties controlled by Democrats?

Do Jackson and Kerry assume that an attempt to follow the law and keep felons from voting equates to disenfranchisement for blacks?

Does Kerry assume that all these felons will vote for him? It takes one to know one. LOL

Nothing new here. Democrats insenuate this everytime there's an election.
