Icon9 Are you happy with our present government??

Do you really want more of the kind of government we've had in Washington for the last eight years? The secrecy, the corruption, the lying, and the endless partisan bickering?

Are you willing to keep sending our best and brightest off to die in Iraq for another 100 years?

I think that it's the political and social ignorance of the American people that have caused such turbulance in our government system. Everyone needs to understand that the American government was made for the people and by the people. But if the people are falling asleep at the wheel when it comes to fulfilling the responsibility of that statement, it is no wonder why corporate America, special interests and other well organized groups have greater influence of legislation.

I am tired of both sides of the aisle , really I am , I am really disappointed with the Republicans for doing jack and equally as disappointed with the Dems who said they would work hard to solve all the problems and have done jack, if they want to represent the people then do it , that means working both sides and compromising at times!

1) No, I'd like to see a change.
2) No, no, no and no.
3) no and no... but if a few war mongering bush and mcsame supporters feel they have to enlist, I sure could send them.

1) yes and no...

2) I can certainly agree with you there...

3) I can't agree here... just because the dems hold a slim majority doesn't mean they can do anything without some republican help... They need 60 votes to bring a bill to the floor of the senate and 67 to over ride a bush veto... they only have 51 on a good day... now I don't know about where you live sub, but here on the west coast, 51 is NOT larger than either 60 or 67. therefore, the blame for nothing being done this session does not belong with the dems, it falls directly at the feet of the obstructionist republicans...

should the dems reach a veto-proof majority this election and still accomplish nothing during the next session, I will join you in lambasting them. Until then?

Blame the obstructionist republicans.

The Dems don't have the votes, the right almost never bends, the President is a righty. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

No.
I want a different point of view.
I do not like Bush at all.
I am ready to vote now.
Did I say I want a change.

I'm not American but I respect President Bush greatly and agree with most of his policies.

I think the US is in need of a change. Kevin Rudd needs someone he can call up, and McCain is not that person!
