Oh great, another selective poll thread.
The trend: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...418.html#polls Your beloved Rasmussen, in a poll done two weeks ago, showed Obama up 2 points. A Quinnipac poll that closed *two days* before the poll you cite also showed Obama up 2 points. The only recent polls showing McCain up *at all* are this SurveyUSA poll and a partisan Republican poll from June. It's fair to say that the race is tight. As befits a propagandist, the "free fall" bit is completely made up. Considering that Rasmussen had McCain leading by *15 points* back in April, and Obama has never had a lead of greater than 5 (in June), I'd think it's McCain who suffered the free fall, and it's McCain who should worry that he's having to fight to establish a tenuous lead in the state. Somehow his 15-point lead evaporated, and now its neck and neck in a state that Bush won by 5 in 2004. But mostly I just wish people would quit placing such stock on individual polls taken three months before the election.

Two weeks ago Obama had not been seen by most people, so was popular. Now that is failed foreign rip has exposed him as a fraud, he's falling fast everywhere. If Obama isn't up by 15 points soon, he's toast. |
