Default Electoral Mission Accomplished

Pew poll out today 47 to 47. Harris poll Kerry 48 Bush 47. You Bush drones are setting yourselves up for major disapointment if you think this is over. Looks like another premature mission accomplished to me.

I wouldnt put too much stock in the polls, one way or the other, at this stage. For the committed cheerleaders of both persuasions, each new poll which suggests even the the most minute sway of support toward the preferred camp will be clung-to with desperation.

But events of greater magnitude may well over-take these minor shifts, in time. What those events might be, we wont know until they arrive; a decisive 'victory' in debate, a surprise (either for good or bad) event in Iraq or Afghanistan, or a skeleton in one or the other's closet which is found not to have been conjured by the voodoo-men at work in both parties.

If no such event occurs, this will be a very, very close race indeed. What will be interesting will be how the 'losing' camp decides to take it. The maniacal hounding of Clinton by the rabid right which precipitated the equally maniacal contempt shown to Bush by the loonier side of left are having cumulative affects within the society.

It was not always so.

Default And of course Klang they've already HELD the election right?

Right?

Polls are almost next to useless...even when they favour your candidate of choice...

The national polls are pretty useless. The trend in the electoral college map is interesting though.

Default Happy

I don't know of ONE Republican on this board who has said....or even implied that it's over. Heck the Democrats may forge some more documents!! But you can't blame us for being happy at the trend since the Republican convention. And ESPECIALLY in the swing states. That national percentage isn't nearly as important as those states and what's happening there. Zogby just put Ohio firmly in the Red State....for Bush....because he says there is now a solid 10% advantage for Bush. Bush is even ahead in some polls in New jersey....totally unexpected. Doing great in Florida and Wisconsin. I'm very happy where we are at this point in time.....

I was wondering why the liberals here and in the media had stopped talking about Ohio... i was actually wondering this just about an hour ago when someone here was discussing the "current battleground states" and Ohio wasn't mentioned...

Now i know why.... Muhahahahaha

C'mon KenLay show me the poll where Kerry is up in Ohio... maybe from the San FranChrisco Times....
