That speech was absolutely remarkable. I have already listened to it three times because there was so much in there to listen to, to absorb. What a message.

This speech woke me up. I am reminded that I am America.

That I make a difference, that my actions matter. That there is a neighbor who needs my help, and it's my responsibility to find him and do so. That there are serious things "wrong" with "this picture" called today's America, and if I want it better there is a part for me to play and it's my responsibility to find it. Not to vote then sit back, not to listen intently then be idle after fierce agreement. Not to pick the guy with the safest plan, but pick the guy with the most American plan; not a plan with old technologies and "safe" positions, but one with bold steps and action plans designed to keep my brother, keep my sister, and keep me should God ever see fit to hand my family too great a cross to bear. Some call it socialism, I call it nothing less than AMERICAN to ensure your neighbor - be it across the street or five states away - won't suffer forever should his misfortune be too heavy for his family or church to lift up.

At this point, McCain will have to prove Obama is Satan himself to make me even listen to his tired BS anymore. Senator Obama has my vote. Not because he's "amazing" or "the one," but because when I vote for Obama, it's the first time I'll be voting for ME. Now THAT'S leadership.
