This year is different. I don't believe Bush stands a chance this year. After the next debates, it will become more and more apparent who people will be voting for, and we won't need polls to tell us it is so. Just look at how well Kerry did in the first one. The next debates are hardly even worth Bush showing up to. The first debate was all Bush was running on, and now without that, he is done. Don't worry Tex, there will not be a repeat of 2000. I guarantee it. IF I'm wrong I'll buy you dinner...

Two polls from today, one the liberal CBS/NY Times and the other the more recently moderate Washington Post/ABC News poll. BOTH polls state that they believe Kerry won the debate. However, both polls also state the number one concern bya huge margin is Iraq/terrorism. It gets 50% which is double the #2 issue (the economy). On the terrorism issue Bush is favored by 13-19% depending on the question. The only issue Kerry has an advantage is the economy and that is slight. Every other issue involves double digit leads for Bush. I think he not only will win, but in terms of electoral votes it won't even be close.
