Ready on day one? C'mon. She wasn't even ready for her first solo interview until day 15 and it's obvious she wasn't ready for that.

The Bush Doctrine is about as simple as it gets - it's the validity of pre-emptive war. It's Iraq. It's about the imminent threat that turned out to be not so imminent. It's about the non-existent WMD. It's about the forged documents that our leaders used to sell a war.

If you don't get that you shouldn't be on this board and you sure as hell aren't qualified to be President.

If you want to know how the question should be answered, wait until Joe Biden gets asked the same question. It should take too long.

Oh bull(*)(*)(*)(*).
It was a very open and straightforward question which she, BTW, did not answer after all the deflections.
She could have saved a little face by just immediately giving the "president must do whatever to defend the nation" answer! But instead she had to ask Gibson what he was talking about essentially... and only after that gave a soundbite answer (which was essentially a "yes").
If she was trying to keep from hitting a corner, her steering was off.

Or maybe not... after all, her base is willing to bite anything it seems.
