Default Huffington Post Analyst: 'Time to Dump Biden, Pick Up Hillary'

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/p-j-gla...-sen-hillary-c

Quote:
It's been less than a month since Barack Obama has picked Joe Biden to be his running mate and already there are calls from liberals, made desperate by Obama's plunge in the polls, to replace Biden with Hillary Clinton. One such plea comes from Huffington Post blogger Andy Ostroy, described as a "New York City-based political analyst," with a blog entry titled, "Why Replacing Biden With Hillary Makes Perfect Sense for Obama." Here is Ostroy's rationale for one of the biggest flip-flops in political history (emphasis mine):
I say it is time to dump Obama...replace w/ McCain/Palin.

“If I were Joe Biden, I’d want to get that VP thing in writing.” - Rudy Giuliani, Republican National Convention

There is no way he could do that and still hold a candle to having "good judgement". That will show more uneasiness and lack of committment then anything else he could do short of telling the troops to suck off.

No way he dumps Biden. That would make the Daily Kos people happy, but show everyone else he isnt able to stick with a commitment. Although, to the left, that is seen as a resume enhancement so, depends on the direction of the wind.

I was wondering what the outcome of decision like this would be. Would it right the ticket or show his weakness? I couldn't believe it when he announced Biden, I was happy but shocked.

He's in a lose/lose situation with Biden. Palin is running away with teh VP popularity and Obama is stuck.

Hillary won't tie herself to a losing ticket, especially as the VP, when she will get the nomination in 4 years.

The worst thing about the story is that in fact Biden would make a much better and wiser choice as President then either Hillary or Obama. But the Left likes to pick their candidates based on rhetoric rather then merit and exprience.

Oooohh...a Huffington Post analyst... mmmmmmm, neato.

Joe Biden is an outstanding pick for VP. I always enjoy listening to him, he has a lot of common sense (we could use more of that) and he has a very strong background.
