Default Gallup 9/15: McCain Lead Stabilized at 2 points - McCain 47%, Obama 45%

Essentially "too close to call" as a 2 point lead is a wash with sample error rate.

Can McCain hold on to this narrow statistical lead for another 3 weeks to avoid breaking the historical trend? Normally, the candidate with the last convention gains a lead and holds it for at least 5 weeks.

So, when Obama's up by 2% it's a landslide victory for him. But when McCain's up by 2, he's doomed? Whaa?
