The McCain campaign is running on Palin. If you want McCain to go up against Obama, he will lose and lose big. This is a big superficial hubub over unbelievable naive acceptance of lame Republican candidates. Palin isn't talking because she would destroy the campaign if she had to talk on the fly. She is unprepared for this big time.

Do you see me yelling at you not to talk about such things? Do you see me claiming that such topics are stupid and boring? Knock yourself out!

Palin, for good or ill, serves as a test of McCain's judgment. It's already disemboweled his "experience" argument. Given that he scoffed at Giuliani and Romney as not ready to be veep, much less president, during the primaries, it has also clouded his "straight talk" reputation.

Then there are the simple contradictions. He claims she's ready to be president, but she can't even handle the press. He claims she's a "pitbull", but she has to hide out of public view. He claims she's an honest reformer interested in transparent government, but it turns out she was an earmark pig with an obsession for secrecy and a messiah complex, who lies about everything from the "bridge to nowhere" to her "teleprompter trouble" during her acceptance speech.

McCain has even stooped to lying *for* her, claiming she never asked for earmarks as governor, and that she sold that state jet on eBay, for a profit.

It is increasingly obvious that McCain picked Palin for two not-so-noble reasons: she was a woman (to appeal to Hillary supporters who apparently are willing to vote for anybody with breasts, regardless of her political views) and she was a religious conservative (to shore up his religious-right base).

Experience, judgment and qualifications had crap-all to do with it. And that, too, is a reflection on McCain.

Believe whatever you want to believe, but if you are going to question judgment then I suggest that you take a good, hard and honest look at your candidate first. His judgment has been in question since Jan, but no one is allowed to question it, and the press is certainly not going to call him on it. They have all but swore him in.

Even Republicans are calling him out on this crap as well as Palin. COME ON! You can't even listen to your own party people? Raytri speaks truth here.

Your assumptions are going to get you into trouble, I am not a Republican and Raytri is entitled to believe whatever he chooses.

Democrats usually do believe what they want, it's Republicans that believe what they're TOLD to believe.

I hope somebody will pass this to the Obama team, Sarah Palin no doubt is no good for simple reason, if she can not and too afraid to face the media how will she be an effective VP.

What is she hiding? what is she afraid of?

If she can not handle the Local American media how much more will she be able to handle the diverse problems that faces America especially how will she face foreign diplomats if she gets elected as VP??

What astonishes me is just how uneducated many American voters are proving to be?, they are attracted more on appearance than on substance.

I am beginning to think that Europeans including Russians and Canadians are more mature when it comes to politics.

70+1 % of Europeans, Russians and Canadians strongly believe that Obama will be the better President. While in America the fight is 50 /50, I guess this why Bush got elected and re-elected and the 50% of Americans still want more of Bush.

Palin is more dangerouse than Chenney, her ethics contraversy should be a clear reminder to all Americans of the similarity between Chenney's involvement with exposing Valerie Plame as a CIA operative and Palin's pressure tactics in firing of the public safety committee.
