Apparently, the "retarded" and "beyond stupid" Nobel Prize winning Economist is simply unable to keep up with your surpassing genius.

What really struck me about this piece was the fact that reductions in defense spending were not even mentioned as a possibility. The whole article is basically saying, "Yeah, we can't keep going like this...either somethings gotta go or we have to raise taxes." They then conclude that cuts in Social Programs would have the worst effect on the economy, and that the best solution is to tax the rich. The elephant in the room, obviously, is our massively out of control defense spending.

I don't trust economists. Economics is the only field where two people can get a Nobel prize for saying two completely contradictory things.

Fair enough. And honestly, I think a lot of that report is pretty shameful.

The Europe is throwing their liberals out talking point is ignorant.

Send Kucinich across the pond and you've got at most a centrist, maybe even a hair to the right.

Why do Republicans think that anyone no matter how incrementally, to the left of them is a liberal? Democrats understand shades of gray, Republicans pure black and white.

What's directly to the right of you guys the Taliban, or are the libs too?

The use of morality as a raison d' etre for a war is merely a construct created by the powers desiring the war as a pretext to win the acquiescence of the uninformed or misinformed.

So did the Doctor give it to you for OCD, PTSD or PMDD? I had to look it up since I don't see a Psychiatrist.

Saying Obama is 'raising taxes' in the abstract is misleading. Obama is raising taxes on those who can most afford it, and lowering taxes on those who deserve it.

Interesting choice of words ..... ".. raising taxes on those who can most afford it" but yet "lowering taxes on those who deserve it".

Deserve it?

Didn't you mean "need it"?

How do you propose to lower taxes on that 40% that don't pay any taxes at all?

That (little) being said, I will ask you can you afford it?
