If president Clinton borrowed hundreds of billions of dollars from japan and china and give each one of us $300 with the implicit understanding that we and our children will eventually have to pay the debt back to japan and china with hefty interest - would it be fair to say that we all got a tax cut?
If president Reagan cut taxes and then was forced to raised taxes - is it fair to use his example as a proof that tax cuts work and should be made permanent?

If President A cuts taxes, how is it not a tax hike if President B repeals said tax cut? It's not like we have a rate set in stone that everything revolves around or anything. "Repealing the tax cut" just seems like a nicer way of saying "raising your taxes." The effect is the same. BIANAE (But I Am Not An Economist).
