Fannie and Freddie are at the epicenter of this crisis we are now faced with. And that $200 BILLION failure lays clearly at the feet of the Democrat leaders and fiscally irresponsible Democrats who were at the helm of those organizations and getting ultra-rich off them. We have example after example of Pres. Bush nearly begging the Congress to act in the last several years----McCain and others nearly begging them to act. But the partisan Dems refused to act because they were beholding to the Fannie/Freddie lobbyists and to their voting base. When the Dems were in the Minority, they filibustered such action. While they've been in the Majority, they simply refused to listen to any pleas to act and try to fix Fannie and Freddie. Even now, they show no signs of starting ANY investigations or hearings over this great tragedy. But they sure were QUICK to go after Enron, weren't they?
