Visit the link to read all about Chicago "thug" politics as Bill Clinton referred to it. Obama reeks of corruption.
It's this simple: When Obama was in a position to institute reform the Chicago Cesspool while in the Illinois House, what did he reform?
Did he refuse donations from the Chicago Machine?

As smart a man as Mr. Miller is (he's the author of that piece just in case you forgot) his basic premise is that Chicago republicans are good and democrats are bad. Not sure, by the end of the piece it seems like any politician from Chicago should be disqualified because Chicago is such a horrible place. He doesn't really reference anything that proves this but that doesn't matter, it's a BLOG, he quotes his own Mom to prove his point. It's tailor made for the right, it's easy to read and has no big words. He somehow references how one man died and lays that at the feet of Michelle Obama. Classy. Righties like people who die.

It is amazing that when you guys post a BLOG entry you all take it as Gods truth, however when someone from the other side does it you spend time looking up the DNS information.

You people have long ago forgotten what truth is. It changes from day to day for you. I know, I was there once. I woke up, how about you?

Palin won’t say whether veep is an executive post - Does this scare anyone else? It terrifies me.

Probably the biggest irony of this election is that there is a possibility of having a Palin-Pelosi administration in the next 8 years.

Please answer the two simple questions I posed, instead of a partisan diatribe.:
When in a position to reform the Chicago Cesspool,in the Illinois House, what did Obama reform?
Did he refuse donations from the Chicago Machine?

I have no idea. What has ANYONE done to clean it up. Where is the proof that it is more of a cesspool than anywhere else. Obama was one man in the Illinois senate. As 1/59th of the senate I really don't know what he might have done. I really don't care about Chicago politics.

What did John McCain do in 30+ years in the US Senate. When he clearly knew what was coming in 2005 he sat on his hands. His advisers were helping the mortgage giants and he was deregulating yet another industry.

People seem to easily forget that what Obama is accused (accused by the right, not anyone in charge of such things) of in Chicago is the EXACT same thing that McCain DID in the 80's. He took money from someone and worked in his behalf. Keating is McCains Rezko. Only that no one has even come close to tying Obama to Rezko in the way that McCain was in Keatings pocket.

McCain REFUSED to add a SINGLE EARMARK in 30 years.
McCain co-wrote the Campaign Finance Reform Law.
McCain has regularly bucked the GOP, AND the Dems ,in the interest of what he considers right, such as forming the "Gang of 14".
You were saying?

and that cleaned up what? Man AM I GLAD he did all that so that we wouldn't fall into a second depression..... oh wait. At least we have all the earmark money, huh?

No we dont because that is a lie. We have the 2003 buffer zone around Luke Air Force Base in Arizona ($14 million) and the 2006 University of Arizona for an academic center ($10 million). This took me 15 seconds to find on Google. I don't contend that he is not against earmarks or that he doesn't have the best record in congress on them. What I am saying is that you spoke without looking and that earmarks hardly matter any more. We are all going to be living on earmarks soon if this bailout fails.

I am glad some step was taken to clean up campaign finance but really, the biggest real change that law brought about was the "I'm an idiot and I approve this message" that they have to say on each commercial. All it really accomplished as to move money around. The biggest problems were left untouched. And the system for primaries is a complete mess and was left untouched. Even Mitt Romney(R) said that there are serious problems with how McCain-Feingold made it so money could not be traced as easily as it once was.

While it would seem that the Gang of 14 agreed on and got passed a very unpopular bill. On the face of it, I don't really understand why it was so unpopular but 2 of the 7 republicans lost their seat for it the next time around. In a nutshell it stopped the democrats from filibustering every court nominee that bush the younger put forward. It expired in 2006 and it's lasting effect is Sam Alito.

I must say, wow, that's quite a record for what 39 years...... is this the best you could come up with. I dare say I could have done better and I don't intend to vote for him.

Already well aware.

Thanks for reminding me what's at stake this election. As if cooperation between Russia, Venezuela, and Iran, OPEC increasing oil production to effect the election, and Russia laying claim to vast reserves in the arctic while the democrats propose a drilling bill that would ban offshore drilling wasn't enough.

Panic levels are officially as high as it gets.

Can't we just send this man back to the hell hole of IL politics before he brings the entire country down?
