Default J-Mac hangin in!

Despite this perfect storm of circumstances, McCain is still in this thing. Just about everything you wouldn't want to deal with in a campaign, he has to deal with. He's older than most candidates, was unpopular with his own party, the economy is fluttering, he's the incumbent of an unpopular president, he's supporting an unpopular war, you name it. He just should not be in this thing. Yet the latest tracking polls show him right in there, and the only bipartisan poll has him up by 2!

Gallup Tracking 09/20-09/22..................... Obama +3
Rasmussen Tracking 09/20-09/22............. Tie
Hotline/FD Tracking 09/20-09/22.............. Obama +4
Battleground Tracking 09/17-09/22........... McCain +2

There's also some interesting information out there about Gallup's methods somehow favoring Obama based on turnout data during the primaries, which many think is no longer valid due to the Palin factor.

If you haven't volunteered at your local Republican headquarters, now's the time! This is going to be the mother of all elections and turnout will be everything.

lol...To begin...When Obama is up on the Gallup Poll, it is now because they favor him?? So explain what happened when the Gallup had McCain up. You right wingers really amaze me when you post up poll data. If McCain gains a point, you guys jump for joy. McCain loses his lead, you guys claim they favor Obama.

You got a lot to learn. Most of McCain supporters do not even post up poll data anymore because they have finally realized how hypocitical their comments read.

Okay is it just me, or does this guy seem a little touchy? I'm simply doing a public service and passing along new information I've attained. And I never believed McCain was up by more than 2 or 3 points as Rasmussen also explained at the time. I do believe Obama is slightly ahead at this point, but has some very troubling internal numbers. And it seems, at this point, things are sliding back to McCain.

Gosh, am I that evil for stating so?

Latest LA Times/Bloomberg poll finds 55% of Americans don’t believe the government should be responsible for funding an economic bailout plan.
When asked which candidate could do a better job of handling the financial crisis:

Obama 48, McCain 35

Oh... and 79% of adults also say they think the country is “on the wrong track,” the highest ever recorded by the Times Poll.

Yeah. Lookin' REAL good for Mac Daddy.

The Forumleft gets absolutely apoplectic when you post unfavorable Obama poll results. I mean media polls are their Bible, and to use The Sacred Polls against them is sacriledge.
Witness my recent Rasmussen Report poll thread from this evening; it's absolutely hysterical how far they'll bend over backwards to keep from acknowledging the data there.
It's almost as bad as Obama trying to discredit The Surge.

Actually, you were hammered for posting only the parts of the day's polling info that APPEALED to you, while ignoring the rest.

Honesty. It's the best policy.

And yet he's hangin in. That's the point of the thread. McCain is facing this perfect storm and yet Obama cannot drop him and McCain seems to be gaining ground. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

McCain has been left for dead before.

(I tried to find the picture of McCain's primary bid where he was down to himself, carrying his own bags, everyone telling him it was over)

McCain is like Rocky. The man did like 6,000,000,000 townhall meetings after his staff had left him for Rudy, and here he is standing up to the media made giant in the election everyone said was unwinnable.

Remember how during the campaign McCain traveled around south America promoting free trade? Nah? Didn't think so.

Remember Obama's trip to Europe? Exactly.

That's what McCain has been up against. That's why his adds have been so aggressive. McCain, isn't going down so easy.

I expect McCain to win, nothing can take this man down. If McCain wins, it will be epic.
