Blah blah blah blah I was the first to support green energy (I thought it was Gore ????) blah blah blah

“China’s going to burn 300 years of bad coal unless we figure out how to clean their coal up because its going to ruin your lungs and there is nothing we can do about it. No coal plants here in America. Builds them if they are going to build them over there make them clean because they are killing us.”

So clean coal is good enough for China but not for America? We have the largest coal reserves in the world. Yet we are supposed to suffer while we have all this energy because he wants pie in the sky.

Of course the Obama campaign which claims to support clean coal has already said that didn’t mean what he said and knowing the press that’s good enough for them.

Is "clean coal" not a fossil fuel? To me this would still put us in the same predicament that we are in right now, we should instead invest in clean renewable energy, that has far less of a footprint on our environment..

To date "clean coal" is only a theory. Not a single coal fired powerplant in the US meets the standards cited the Clean Coal group. Before I will support clean coal they're going to have to fix the 1600 or so dirty coal powerplants. When that is done then come and talk.

Actutally no, i don't agree with "clean coal" we need to cease the use of fossil fuels where it can be removed and begin to use renewable resources that will not have the same environmental impact of fossil fuels.

I hate to break it to you, but stopping the polution is not going to stop the problem. We are already past the breaking point. Technology will have to be developed to regulate the pollutants in the atmosphere.
