Default Palin's Alaska popularity takes a hit

Alaskans are seeing the real Sarah Polin, and it isn't a pretty piggie, even with lipstick.

Quote:
Ivan Moore: Palin remains popular but not like before

Anchorage pollster/consultant Ivan Moore has a new poll out from 500 likely Alaska voters. While Gov. Palin's popularity remains very high - 68 percent overall give her a positive rating - Moore sees serious slippage among Democrats/progressives, a smaller but significant drop among non-partisans/moderates, and little or no change among Republicans/conservatives.

In a new survey conducted September 20-22, Ivan Moore Research finds Sarah Palin's positive-negative rating in Alaska taking a real hit, for the first time since Palin was elected in November 2006. The survey was conducted with 500 likely voters in the State of Alaska, for a margin of error of 4.4%. The track of the last five Palin ratings is as follows, along with a comparison point from January 2008

We're seeing the numbers cratering among ideological progressives and registered Democrats, probably indicative of the impact of the harsher tone Palin has adopted on the national campaign trail, and the growing fallout from Troopergate. Damage is also significant among moderates and non-affiliated voters, while Republicans and conservatives continue to be almost universally positive.

It should be noted, of course, that a 68-27 is still a very satisfactory rating. But it appears the days of 80 percent approvals in Alaska are over.

More dumb polls....lol.

Could it be b/c she is no longer in Alaska being a regular Governor, doing the people's business???????????????

I dont know?....lol. Seems to me like that would be a huge KEY, when your out campaigning 2,000 miles away non-stop.

Weren't you just posting a complaint somewhere about raising the level of discourse in debates? How's that going?

I'm not surprised we have a lot of people up here who are socialist democrats first and Alaskan's second. They were fine with her when she was running the state and sticking it to the oil companies but now that she is a threat to their national soloist dream they don’t like her.

I predicted that choosing Palin as the VP candidate would not only lose the election for the the Republican party, but would also end Palin's political career in Alaska. It seems I may have been correct.

Palin was a shooting-star and she is burning out quickly. She has become a laughing stock because of her lack of knowledge of world affairs and issues and she has lost her wholesome hockey-mom image as how she treats political opponents and conducts state business has come to light. Her controversial views on hunting practices have also come to light. My guess is that she would have a really hard time winning the gubernatorial election right now.
