I'm not sure if this is genius or madness.

At first blush, I would tell McCain, do what you feel you need to do... the stakes are too high to leave things where they are. America has a choice to make in about a month as to who is going to lead this nation the next four years.

Then, if I were Obama, I would agree to postpone the debate. But I would continue to campaign with a muted message, entirely positive.

I agree, hard to tell if it is genuine interest, or just political posturing.

Either way I bet CNN and a ton of advertisers are not happy right now.

McCain just said so on TV.

I don't see any reason to suspend his campaign or postpone the debate.
