Default McCain wants to postpone debate!

To attend to the current economy crisis is Washington. I think Congress can handle it without him.

Running scared or posturing?

Default BREAKING: McCAIN SUSPENDS CAMPAIGN!!!

I'm not sure if this is genius or madness.

Quote:
John McCain suspends campaigning to work on economy, requests postponing Friday debate; asks Obama do the same.
At first blush, I would tell McCain, do what you feel you need to do... the stakes are too high to leave things where they are. America has a choice to make in about a month as to who is going to lead this nation the next four years.

Then, if I were Obama, I would agree to postpone the debate. But I would continue to campaign with a muted message, entirely positive.

I agree, hard to tell if it is genuine interest, or just political posturing.

Either way I bet CNN and a ton of advertisers are not happy right now.

McCain just said so on TV.

I don't see any reason to suspend his campaign or postpone the debate.

Once again, another thread with a missleading title. I don't think I'm going to open up threads anymore started by JVO... I am getting really tired of this

What? Saving the country's economy is more important than getting elected? Doing your job as a leader is more important than getting elected? Protecting your constituents is more important than getting elected???

Who da thunk?

Interesting to note, though, that Obama, though notified ahead of time, has not bothered to respond. I guess he's waiting for his handlers to tell him what to say. Probably have to reload the teleprompter or something ...
