Default Harry Reid to John McCain - "It wouldn't be helfpul" to return to Washington

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmi...n.html?showall

Quote:
A Democratic source says Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid just spoke to John McCain today, and told him on the phone that it "wouldn't be helpful" for him to return to Washington.

Reid spokesman Jim Manley tells Politico's Martin Kady III that McCain called Reid about an hour ago, and said “Harry, I hope we can sit down together, and act quickly.” Reid simply “read back to him his statement” from earlier in the day saying it wouldn’t be helpful. McCain also called Pelosi to give her a heads-up.
Reid knows the result of McCains coming back to Washington to take a leadership road in these debates, and make no mistake, he WILL be front and center in the hearings.

Reid is so obvious in his actions here that it really is embarrassing to watch him.

McCain is a power in his own.

Its not helpfull to Reid/Pelosi because they don't control McCain and can't control McCain as they can/do Obama.

Reid knows McCain will be like throwing gas on the fire so, he doesn't want him around.

In the current climate in DC, have a feeling McCain is going to sorely wish he had gone to Ole miss instead of DC. McCain isn't going to be able to spin this to his advantage because GWB isn't going to be able to force Congress to do things his way, in his time and his term this time - and McCain is going to get splattered with some of the blood from this massacre from standing too close to GWB. McCain can't afford to be linked to GWB anymore - that will lose this election for sure.

He should have just finished his sentence:

It wouldn't be helpful (to Obama for McCain) to return to Washington.

Forget about the people! Reid don't care about the people, he only cares about votes...

Actually, when he was speaking (I watched it) he was saying that neither should be there. It will throw two more voices into a an already crowded machine. Let them debate. McCain.. argh. He could have pulled this last week. Seems he is using a convenient event to hide behind to me.

Let's see.

We're supposedly in the worst financial crisis since the Depression.

And Johnny Mac wants to go to Washington to fix it?

Isn't this the same guy that has admitted on several occasions that he knows little about the economy?

You would think Dingy Harry would welcome any counsel he could possibly gather after proclaiming "No one knows what to do!" Well we all know why the libs don't know what to do because they have their dirty hands all over this subprime mess. If it was the repubicans that were dirty all over this I assure you that Dingy Harry would absolutely know what to do: SENATE HEARINGS ON THE SCUMBAGS RESPONSIBLE. Dingy Harry has proven how repulsive he is to anything dignified by saying that he doesn't need McCain or Obama. I could see him not needing Obama... the guy is a tool that will just vote however Dingy Harry and Nancy Pelosi tell him to vote. But McCain could actually be useful with his record of biparisanship. What isn't useful is hearing the same old BS from the both of these candidates out on the campaign stump, especially with Obama's cheerleading of an economic crisis.
