I have learned that all the republicans can ever say in an argument on here is "do you have a source for that?" I seriously have heard that over a hundred times in the last 2 weeks. Its insane. Do you guys ever have a real rebuttal?

There are a handful of right-wingers that can actually hold their own in a debate. Most just spout talking points from blogs and resort to the sort of tactics the OP mentioned (source please?, "why don't you love America?" or just call the poster names).

Asking for sources for a factual claim is standard so people can see you're not just talking out your butt. Reasonable posters simply provide the sources.

Truly respectable posters provide the sources along with the claims without being asked.

It's neither a conservative nor a liberal thing. It's a rational thing.

Like when I claim Obama wants to put computer chips in the magizines so when every round is shot, it's government knowledge. Obviously I couldn't just make something like that up out of the blue. And I even tell them where I heard it from. The NRA. They make it their business to know. So I'm sure if you look around their site you'll find something about it.
