I guess the guy is expected to know every single President in US history, right?

It's basic history. If you know there is a financial crisis and you want to reference the Great Depression, it is generally wise to know your facts ahead of time. He just made stuff up.

Actually I was kind of disturbed by this.
I mean, if nothing else, he's got a staff right?
I know he's hitting a lot of campaign stops and they usually have pre-planned remarks and then often they take questions about hot topics; certainly the economy being one of them.
Couldn't he have checked with someone on his staff?

It's almost as disturbing to me, almost mind you, but not quite, almost as disturbing as a few months back when he kept confusing the Shiites and the.....oh hang on...was that Biden?

well FDR isn't considered any ordinary President. And yes he should know this. If you want to compare something to the Great Depression you should know what the Great Depression is. Not to mention he thought there were TVs in 1929.

Is this all you can come up with? FDR did radio fireside chats on the depression and was 1st to appear on TV in 1939. So Biden screwed up. It's trivia, it's not important

Well lets just look at the mistakes Palin has made in comparison to the mistake Biden made. Palin didn't know what her own job is supposed to do and she didn't know what the bush doctrine is. Those two things alone are WAY worse then Biden mixing up who was the president during the depression.

he never said either. the mess up was thinking FDR was President when the GD started. I added 1929 b/c that is when it started.
