Default Meeting With Bush was McCain's Idea

Just reported on Fox News by Carl Cameron. He reported that earlier in the day McCain called Obama about the idea then contacted the White House who then contacted Obama.

Just a thought... Do you think the WH invitation to Obama might be a distancing move on McCain's part? What I mean is.. If Bush meets with only McCain it would just further cement the two as equals in terms of leadership. By inviting Obama it looks like he's reaching out to "whomever" becomes the next president as opposed to the one he wants to be the next president.

That's because he is and McCain is lying about calling Obama first.

why have a meeting in the first place? Having a meeting with both only makes since.

Still do.

McCain orders Obama to DC? He can't do it without looking like he's following McCain's lead.

The President of the United States asks McCain and Obama to come to DC? Sure! Why not? He's the President.

Now... as the story progresses... what will people remember?

Bush calls a meeting with Congressional Leaders, McCain and Obama?

or...

Bush takes orders from McCain, folds and cringes, meekly calls for a meeting.

Don't be such a naif.

It's already been established on all the cable channels and the important newspapers that Obama called McCain first.
