See I hate that phrase 'racial profiling'. It should be called 'statistical profiling'. The profiling is based on the areas. Yeah, in New York City, it's probably pretty likely to be a crime committed by a black person, but here in Idaho, it's a late teens/early 20's white-trash boy that commits the crime. It's like how cops attentions are attracted to red cars since they are more likely to speed. I wish I knew where it was, but I wrote a long paper on profiling and criminal statistics.
