Default Red/Blue Chart

Rasmussen has a good chart for viewing...and comparisons to 2000. Right now they have Bush 240 and Kerry 194....with 104 tossups for now. Electoral votes, that is.

Default ...

But that's too easy to understand so it couldn't possibly be correct....

(not that I actually believe that just wanted to be the first to 'point that out')

Default .

Ok so what happens if they tie?

If Bush withs the 240 expected, plus gets Colorado (9), and Ohio (20), that's 269 votes.

Kerry gets everything else that's 269 votes.

Then what happens? Senators vote or something?

Default That would be hilarious

If after the 2000 election it was an electoral tie and then in 2004 the house decided. Boy we'd get some more good whining from the dems after that! While a long shot, if you look at the math it is certainly possible.
