We surely don't know where McCain stands on this he i still waying the political winds and carefully calculating his next political move. This isnt putting "Country First" this is putting "Country at Risk". His appearence today completely derailed all bipartisan efforts that have taken place today. And for what?

The way the bailout is structured is Bad very BAD. McCain and the senior republicans are going to restructure the bail out and present something we can all live with.

McCain is risking everything, if it works he is the hero, if it fails he is to blame. Sounds like a real type of man i would want for president.

Bush saved this country from more attacks and undid a lot of the mess that Clinton left the country in. The press crucified him at every turn, but we are all feel very safe walking around the streets of our country. Being a president is not about being popular, its all about taking care of our country.

Where is Obama again??

And please explain why a sitting Senator shouldn't be involved in a solution that involves the financial crisis of this country? Especially running for President! This Bill will be managed on his watch. Is it not reasonable that the next President should be very familar with the bill, as well be responsible and accountable for it's passage.

It takes 60 votes to stop a filibuster on a bill. If you do not know what filibuster means, I suggest you look it up! Also, 55 is less than 60 - I am not sure if I needed to point that out to you, but figured I should for good measure.

Another completely asinine post! See above. The democrats fiercely opposed it and filibuster the bill. THAT IS WHY IT DIDN'T COME UP FOR A VOTE! Excuse me for ranting but I would like to see FOR ONCE an argument presented by a liberal that is not completely based on IGNORANCE.
