Default McCain Declares Victory in Future Debate

OK, it was just a few minutes ago when McCain said he would deign to come down from Olympus to parlay with the mere mortal Obama...

So why then, tell me WHY, has his campaign already produced a web ad declaring victory in tonight's debate as if it had already happened?

...a debate he wasn't gonna ATTEND until just a few minutes ago...

...a campaign that was allegedly SUSPENDED until just a few minutes ago...

...a debate that won't even TAKE PLACE for another 9 HOURS yet...

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the...ns_debate.html

He's declared victory already.

How odd!

If true, and not a simple mistake, this makes McCain's suspension look even more like a gimmick.

You can't believe his audacity? Excuse me? Biden screws up every day and no one says anything. Obama has two guys from Fannie and Freddie working for him and you claim that McCain (who wanted to solve the economic crisis in 2005) has audacity? Besides we all know how Obama does without a teleprompter. This should be good tonight.

What does this (and the lie about Obama having two people from F/F working on his campaign) have to do with McCain's pre-debate LIE ad?

I support McCain's optimism.
Let him take the part of the one with high expectations in this debate.
Climbing up real high there, John... Better hope you don't happen to FALL!

Anyone else enjoying the whole "teleprompter" meme? I know I am. It's a stupid (and erroneous) claim, and they spend a lot of time on it. You go, guys.

Hello? Is there anyone there? He's declaring victory in a debate he hasn't participated in. That was a pathetic attempt to deflect this obvious gaffe. Also, you should take comfort in the fact that McCain also has people in his campaign from Frannie and Freddie:

Quote:
Among the companies’ past advocates are Mr. McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis, a longtime lobbyist; Mr. McCain’s confidant and adviser Charlie Black, whose firm worked for Freddie Mac for several years ending in 2005, and the deputy campaign finance chairman, Wayne L. Berman, a vice president for Ogilvy Worldwide and a former Fannie Mae lobbyist.
Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/10/us.../10fannie.html

Also lets not forget the Keating Five scandal, in which McCain interceded with federal regulators.

Quote:
Excuse me?
You are excused.

Quote:
Besides we all know how Obama does without a teleprompter.
Better than John McClown, who can't even read correctly off the teleprompter:

McCain better do well tonight, very well or it's going to be almost impossible for him to recover. With all the flap about suspending his campaign etc and Palin's dismal interview with Katie Couric, they may not be able to recover even with a good performance.
