He did say Tom at one point according to; http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/...ipt/index.html

Obama:"They did it on the Medicaid prescription drug bill and we have to change the culture. Tom -- or John mentioned me being wildly liberal. Mostly that's just me opposing George Bush's wrong headed policies since I've been in Congress but I think it is that it is also important to recognize I work with Tom Coburn, the most conservative, one of the most conservative Republicans who John already mentioned to set up what we call a Google for government saying we'll list every dollar of federal spending to make sure that the taxpayer can take a look and see who, in fact, is promoting some of these spending projects that John's been railing about."

Non issue. I wish they'd bring up something more substantial. Btw I don't think he said horse(*)(*)(*)(*) either...

Really, pretty childish on McCain's part.

Elitist:
I'd rather be a hippie and tree hugger than a fear and war mongerer.
I'd rather have a surplus than a deficit.
Without social programs we'd still be in the Great Depression.
And Democrats don't defend infanticide - that's a narrowminded and extremist point of view. Democrats defend the right to choose, which is a basic human characteristic designed by God Himself.

When he said the name Tom, he had just been speaking about Tom Coburn. This is the stupidest argument ever. McCain misspoke world leaders' names. That's okay, but Obama not clarifying if he was speaking to McCain or the modderator...that makes him incapable of being president.

I think McCain has trouble remembering his own name at times, especially when he's mad as hell.

Then you can't complain about high energy prices or high taxes. That is what fuels the social programs.
Get off the deficit Clintons national debt was on it way to ruin when Bush to over. Add 9-11 and 423 national disasters and a war you have a deficit.
