Default Who is Obama running against?

Watching the debate last night it seemed that Barry didn't even know who John McCain was. He kept calling him Jim and Tom it was quit amazing. I think he did finally get John right.

Jim is Jim Lehrer, the moderator of the debate.

That's who Barry was talking to.

Try and pay a little closer attention next time, wiil you?

Perhaps Lavell might show us on the transcript where he referred to anyone as Tom?

my bad it was Tim not Tom. Jim was the moderator but he referred to McCain as Jim sometimes.

McCain didn't seem to know where his opponent was. He couldn't even look at him. What kind of LEADER can't even look his opponent in the eye?

He looked wacky. It made him look insecure, intimidated, crotchety, ill tempered.

I make sure my ten year old looks people in the eye, for crying out loud.

I was wondering if anyone was going to point that out! I listened to ALL the news shows and NOBODY mentioned it! Seems to me that should have been mentioned. I was beginning to think I had misheard!

If obama can't even keep the name of his opponent straight in his head...then I guess John McCain mixing up Shiite and Suny(sps) isn't all that bad...because at least McCain wasn't standing side by side with them when he made his gaffe!

If I based it on the threads here I'd have to say he's running against Palin.

In case some of you are confused - here is the only time Obama refers to Jim then John in the whole debate. Obviously he was talking to the moderator first then John McCain:

Quote:
I just want to make this point, Jim. John, it's been your president who you said you agreed with 90 percent of the time who presided over this increase in spending. This orgy of spending and enormous deficits you voted for almost all of his budgets. So to stand here and after eight years and say that you're going to lead on controlling spending and, you know, balancing our tax cuts so that they help middle class families when over the last eight years that hasn't happened I think just is, you know, kind of hard to swallow.

Get your facts right and pay attention next time.
