I was born and raised in the USSR, and I remember how the Soviet system propaganda machine have been telling us exactly the same thing for 20 + years when there was another time to "elect" Leonid Brezhnev untill it collapsed one day.

So good luck to you, Americans.....

Let's just hope that your grandpa McCain won't be making the same type of decisions as grandpa Leonid Brezhnev did that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

You just cannot afford another war....

The country does need more ideas and options.

But LATE stage debates have (and it's less than 40 days) have Always cut the field down to the two even remotely possible winners.

Obviously 1%ers are a distraction at this point ehen we need to differentiate between the two viable choices.

Previously, some 3rd Party candidates were included (like Perot) when they had a decent number.

I forget the exact percentage you have to hit to get into the debates. I think it's 10 or 15 percent.

If you can't get that much you're just a spoiler and have no purpose in the final debates. Nader and Barr didn't even manage to get on the ballots of every state. They'd be a joke at this point except for the impact they may have in throwing the election.

Plus. If we're going to have people with absolutely no chance in the debates I'd at least like to be amused. I say we send Spankythewhale next time, he probably has some fresh ideas, or maybe Perham for some variety in view.

While I'm not saying that the recent Russian elections didn't represent the (somewhat scary) will of the people. Did they even bother having debates?

Any one remember what happened when a third party candidate name Jesse Venture joined a debate?

He got elected.

So basically umm yeah if your big issue is this one and you don't like John's opinion well tough cause I agree with him on practically every point.

The American people at large and for whatever reason refuse to get behind any third party candidate enough to where a third party member could actually debate.
it would be refreshing and it might even seem like they (the 2 big parties) were hearing us!

With only Obama and McCain the People are left with a choice as to who they believe is right for America. With 3rd party candidates included the People would have been given the choice that neither Obama or McCain was right.

Obvously the Democrats and Republicans which control the debates are afraid of the opinions of 3rd party candidates which might show both major candidates as being wrong on the issues.
We totally agree here!
