And what I saw of Obama was a kid trying desperately to get some kind of acknowledgment from Mommy. He called McCain by his first name----kind of casual, don't ya think, for someone who is supposed to be his equal in the Senate? But then it's quite clear Obama has no respect for McCain----not for his status in the Senate OR of his past military experience and sacrifice.

"What exactly is this foreign policy experience?" Obama said mockingly of the New York senator. "Was she negotiating treaties? Was she handling crises? The answer is no."

I don't understand how calling him John means that he doesn't have respect for his past military experience (getting captured?) and sacrifice. Military experience is not a requriement for POTUS and never will be... so why is that relevant in a presidential debate. Maybe Obama was doing this on purpose to downplay McCain's experience?
