Default McCain Won. But Will It Matter?

I agree McCain won the debate, and as partisan as I am, the article below shows a non-partisan look at what was said. But will it matter? Who knows, I saw an empty suit on that stage in Obama, filled with many pie in the sky platitudes, that are bought hook line and sinker by the Obama-ites, but will it work with the independents? We shall see.

i think the impact will be minimal at best b/c whoever you think won did so by so little and there is no real sound bit that will be remembered.

How about the sound bite of constant interruption by Obama? He should now be known as, O'butma, but, but, but, but, but, ...

Speaking as an Independent voting for Obama I didn't see an empty suit. What I saw was Obama going toe to toe with McCain. I can't see that there was a slam dunk from either side, but the forum covered a lot of foreign policy questions that McCain really should have had the advantage on. I give the edge to Obama because he was a bit more up to speed than I thought he was on foreign policy, and I liked his stamina throughout the debate.

If Obama can hold his own on foreign policy issues, one of Mccain's supposedly strong selling points, I suspect he will do even better in the next debates.

what I saw was a broken soldier who was starring off into the distance and not looking into the eyes of his opponent. As his captors trained him to do.

He did have the advantage and it showed, I think you may want to re-watch the exchange. McCain didn't blink naming at least 20 foreign leaders of whom the president needs to be strongly aware of. Obama named 2, Ahmadinejad and Kim Jung Il.
