what exactly would you call being in a position to carry on with absoluty ZERO OVERSIGHT? Being unregulated?

People in that position can choose to use that type of power to either HELP or HURT America. Which do you think the Bush Admin chose?

Just blame Bush. And why not? For the last 8 years that is all they have done.
Why blame Bush? The Bush years have been fantastic! Economic bliss, world peace, unemployment at 0.0%, the middleclass is doing great, a small govt letting us live our lifes, govt spending at its lowest level ever, a trillion dollor surplus....Oh, wait.....

And what is a government sponsored enterprise?

Do you even know what you're talking about?

Seriously, is that the best you can do? Your going to have to dig a little deeper than that my friend. This crisis didnt stop or start 2 years ago so attempting to hold democrats liable for 6 years of republican control is laughable at best. You cant turn around a fortune 500 company in 2 years and you (*)(*)(*)(*) sure cant turn America that fast. Things take time.

Here is the BUsh administration since 2001 trying to get legislation passed on F & F Mac and Barney Frank and Chuck Schumer fighting it.

My how history and facts never back up Democrats.

YouTube - Timeline shows Bush, McCain warning Dems of financial mess

It is amazing how far the fringes of both parties will go to defend their party. It doesn't matter what the republicans do, the hacks will lie, spin, and stretch the truth in order to defend their side.

I mean, why in the world would we blame george bush for the country going into the toilet? Poor old Bush couldn't have done anything to stop it. He was only president with his party as congressional majority for 6 years!!!

Republicans say, oh we wanted to regulate fannie and freddy, but the democrats stopped us!! Well, NO!!! You guys had congress and the president for SIX years you could have done whatever you wanted!! You didn't want to do anything!!

So right wing hacks listen up!!! Your side (*)(*)(*)(*)ed everything up!!! That means you are going to lose this time. Deal with it. George Bush's presidency has been a massive failure. Now for the next 4 years, dems will have both white house and congress, and if they (*)(*)(*)(*) stuff up as bad as bush has, they will also lose.

So get over it, GW has been an incredibly incompetent president, and now dems get their shot. I just hope for the sake of the country, they do a better job than the republicans did!!!

You haven't been paying much attention to what was going on around you have you? The housing and financial crisis didnt start within the last year, experts have been calling this fall out for about 2 or 3 years now and still nothing was done. Your premise to blame in on the democrats lacks substance. IT WAS BOTH PARTIES THAT FAILED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! Once you can seem to understand that concept then you will be able to understand the situation that we are in today.

Default Be still and listen for you are about to hear the

truth. Both parties are at fault. For anyone to blame the Democrats for 100 % of the fault would be a whacked out wwrong as if one was to blame Shrubodink and the Republicns for 100 % of the casue. The Clinton administration has soem culpability but let's remember this:

Gingrich and the Republicans c ontroled Congress during a portion of Clinton's reign.
Shrubodink and his gang had control for 6 of his soon to be 8 years.

So is "History" pointing exclusively to the Dems ?

I think that you are being a Partisan Patti on this one.!!!

I didn't say the the republicans didn't have anything to do with this I am questioning what the democrats have been doing about it the last two years.
They always tell us about these kinds of bills and if Bush had vetoed it we would have know it by now.
