Default Palin: cause of global warming 'doesn't matter'

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20081001...nspalinclimate

WOW !! Palin: cause of global warming 'doesn't matter'

So Idiot Igloo Girl just doesn't plumb care whether or not man's activities may or may not affect climate !!! So we can have another president who just plain does not care to find out the truth.

"Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said Tuesday that global warming is "real," but stressed that it "kind of doesn't matter" whether or not humans are to blame for climate change."

No rational person thinks that man is the total casue of climate change but let's be serious it may shouldn't we be curious to find out instead of playing ostrich ??

God save our country from this Idiot Igloo Woman !!!!!please !!!!

She's right. The whole "chicken little" global warming crapola will be laughed at decades from now. They'll read the history of our time and laugh at loud at Al Gore's and the liberal, anti-capitalists' claims.

Proof? Areas in the world where there is ice today used to be covered in lush, green lands. So, the fact that there is now some melting ice again certainly doesn't mean man is responsible for it. Just means it's going back to it's original state and it's cyclical in nature. ALL before man was here. AND all before the industrial age. Very little, if any, is about us.

What this is all about is the anti-capitalists who have looked for and think they have a good reason now to halt capitalist activities that they hate. And they've been successful in getting some of their liberal scientists to provide them slanted materials to back it up....totally ignoring any and all other scientists that don't believe as they do.

This may be true, but between now and then we'll have crappy ledgislation, raised taxes, and hinder industry all in the name of an unproven (next word used loosely) science.

Key Palin quote:

"But it kind of doesn't matter at this point in the debate what caused it. The point is it's real, we need do something about it."

Odd logic. I would say it does matter as it affects both solutions to the problem and projections of future global warming. You'd think that a top leader in Alaska, a state which has experienced dramatic warming and climate change well above the global average, would have thought a bit more about the issue than she appears to have. Or perhaps this is Palin's bungled way of saying experts have mainly moved past causation and are on to debating specific consequences and solutions. I wish I could give her the benefit of the doubt.

I am of the opinion that in order to gain bipartisan support for environmental regulation in the future, the idea of global warming should be regarded as irrelevant to the conversation.
Now before anyone freaks out, let me be clear. I do strongly support conservation in all forms, and I think that most of the programs proposed to fight climate change are fantastic ideas, but in all honesty: Do we ever believe that until the supposed 'environmental Apocalypse' happens that republican and moderate democrats will support fighting climate change? I think not.
Instead we should be pushing and reinforcing our ideas on conservation plans with the reasoning of being good tenants of the earth. I have yet to meet a person who is against good care of the world we live in.
I mean well, and I am open to criticism.
Have a good day everyone!

I "kind of" agree but isn't part of solving a problem pinpointing what's wrong in the first place?

If the cause of global warming isn't important, the cause of this economic crisis isn't important.

Lemme get this right. Palin says it doesn't matter what is causing GW, the important thing is that it is real. She then says we need to do something about it.

Question: How the hell are we meant to fix GW if we don't discover the cause of it? Like, is Palin stupid or something? Is her lipstick toxic?
