Default Rescue Bill Passes Senate 74-25

The Senate has just passed the $700 billion rescue bill. 74-25.

The bill will now get a vote on the floor of the House on Friday. Obama, Biden, McCain vote in favor of the bill. I got my information from www.TrulyNewsworthy.com.

It will be interesting to see what happens Friday.

So what does this mean? Is this the same bill that they didn't pass the other day?

No !! The Bill has been modified. This unto itself means very little. The Senate voted on a Bill that hasn't passed Congress yet. If Congress defeats the Bill, then it doesn't matter that the Senate voted for it. Only is the Bill passes through Congress will this have any impact. The Senate then will not have to re-vote for the Bill.
