Default Ifill Didnot Tell CPD About Her Book.

Hey, imagine that. Gweyn Ifill didnt even bother to tell the Commission on Presidential Debates about her new book due to come out on Inauguration Day.

Ha. This is so bad. Sure she might still be a good moderator, but this is just getting a little to ridiculous.

Is there a good reason, why she didnt tell the CPD about the book?

God, please send us back Tim Russert! He was the only guy left in this terrible business we call journalism.

Her book is common knowledge. It was announced during the summer, and she wrote about it in Time Magazine and the Washington Post.

It is not a "pro-Obama" book.

The CPD could have asked her about it. And if they were doing due diligence, they SHOULD have known about it.

Same for the McCain campaign. They seem to be the only folks "surprised" by this.

She probably assumed that going on national television and telling everyone was good enough.

Doesn't really matter does it, it will be obvious if she is one-sided.

I'd say change her if it's such a big deal, thing is, it's not. It's just a very poorly veiled attempt to lay the ground work for protecting Palin against if/when she screws up in the debate. "Oh it was the bias moderator!"

No, actually it is not that.

It is the fact that she is writing a book about Obama, after she has already done an article on him in Essence. She looks to gain financially from Obama winning this election.

It is no different then someone bribing you to pull for them. If the "pull" for them is successful you get paid, if it isnt, then you dont get paid.

Its that simple.

Has nothing to do with Palin or what she can or cant do.

McCain's response actually seemed very reasonable.

The Right Wing Media are the only ones spinning this 'issue' up. Preemptive damage control for their candidate.

No, the FACT is that the book is about FOUR AFRICAN AMERICAN POLITICIANS -- ONE of which is Obama.

It is NOT a "pro-Obama" book, but is about the impact of his campaign on African American politicians.

If you're going to use the word "fact" in a post, Mr. Hat, your "fact" should AT LEAST be "true".

Gaming the refs.

Cowardly and desperate.

McCain is just being McCain....lol.

He keeps trying to be nice to the people who are trying to destroy him.

Its like trying to pet the dog in the yard you just jumped into, while the dog has your throat in his mouth.

Such drama queens, our GOP friends.

This is not an issue. I know you really want an issue. You want to have a reason for Palin bombing in the debate -- if that's what happens. You want someone to blame other than McCain for his horrible choice.

But the facts remain.

It is not a book about Obama. It's about the effect his campaign had on African American politicians.

It is not PRO-Obama. Ifill, like a professional news anchor, has not expressed an opinion about him.

You guys really do need to tend to your own knitting, like Fred Thompson said on CNN this morning.
