Thumbs down Bloomberg Wants a 3rd Term.

What is this guy thinking?

Mayor for life? If New Yorkers dont throw his sorry ass out of office, you deserve what you get. Hail Caesar!

It's not like he's passing an executive order. He's going through the right channels.

I don't care about term limits. I think they are a trade-off offering more rotation of duty but effectively reducing the time a politician is useful in office and sometimes getting in the way of the will of the people (unless the people want term limits).

So if Bloomberg gets to run again... so what? As I understand it, he's a (*)(*)(*)(*) good mayor.

Why not?
I can complain about Congress... just not about their terms.
I don't think congress' lack of term limits has much at all to do with their problems... and what problems do exist from it would be replaced by different ones if they had term limits.

He is a great Mayor with huge approval ratings, why shouldnt the voters have an opportunity to reelect him?
